I wish the quality was better, they're all 2nd generation, photos of snapshots held in front of the camera.

It's so disgusting that this is what our country is doing.

I'm not saying that the insurgents aren't killing anyone. I am saying that U.S. forces are doing the majority of the killing in Iraq. When you have widespread attacks on areas, you are going to kill innocent civilians, period. It's not the soldiers who are evil, it's the military infrastructure that gives them their orders. They are just doing what they are told. Sadly what they are being told is evil and wrong. I'm not like Mayor Guliani or any other Republicans. I don't blame our troops. I'm a real American. My heart goes out for them. I blame the Bush administration and the military officials they have let loose on Iraq.

American troops invade their city to "free them"

49. It should be apparent, that although these photo's are horrible...

there is no credible evidence as to who did these deeds. Speculation is almost always more damaging than the facts that emrge from such horrors.

One thing is for sure, these people met a fate that they did not deserve. War is horrible, and executions are worse.

Who is responsible, and the facts surrounding these events, need to be amassed and assessed before any blame can be attributed. I encourage everyone to keep speculation at a minimum. I see no evidence in these pictures of US involvement. In fact, I could not tell you where or when these pictures were taken. What I do know, is that the person(s) on this side of the viewfinder, knows more than any of us...and they are as capable of lying as they are of telling the truth.

I mention this strictly as a concerned member of DU.

My point is, no one can prove when or where these pictures were taken.

I think it is criminal in any case that these people suffered this fate, but as in any case like this, I need facts in order to make a judgement call. No one can tell me that American soldiers did this, without proof. It is as simple as that. I am not ruling it out, I just want proof, and not speculation.
