I'm sure his lawyers will say it's just a metaphor, not to be taken literally, but putting 'arming' and 'combat' under the obvious nod to the Nazi's 'Final Solution' is about as low as you can get and is criminally irresponsible at best. If anyone gets hurt, I hope they drag is ass into court.

If/When the depression hits, people like Wiener won't even remain in this country.

It's not just the intended effect of intimidation and cowering, but it also gives a certain chest-thumping, foot stomping sense of empowerment to his 'fan base.' As far as talk radio goes, this guy is more emotive than Rush, more of a Springer type host, and I think his fan base is more militant. I have listened to his show and thought several times that he is deliberately inciting people to injure or kill 'liberals,' walking a thin line between implication and explicit appeal. I have heard him many times refer to liberals (including the Democratic party and Kerry) as traitors, and casually reminding the audience that the Constitution calls for the death penalty for treason, but a liberal Supreme Court will not, of course, kill their own. He has, so far, stopped short of calling for vigilantes, but it is so leading that anyone can see what he's implying. It is not any stretch to imagine some of his callers 'taking back America' with violence, and him cheering them on. And all I've needed has been maybe a grand total of five hours listening. I shudder to imagine what I haven't heard, and what someone listening everyday might hear.

I'm all for the first amendment, but what worries me is that his 'free speech' carries none of the consequences inherent in the responsibilities that come with any freedom. If a deranged listener does decide the hour of reckoning is at hand, Michael Savage will safely continue to pull his paycheck, whipping up the masses. He's not the little man's friend. He's not the liberals' worst nightmare. He's not the defender of patriotism, persecuted for standing up for his country against the tide of liberal vices (amazing that someone with millions of listeners, multi-state syndication, etc., can still be 'oppressed' and 'under seige). He's just a wild-eyed ranter with half-assed 'arguements' and a broad definition of what logic should be, who's figured out that terrible metal music and lotsa fast talking about liberal scourges against 'us' (you and me, John Q. Patriot) will bring in every disenfranchised ('careful, they're catching up with you, wanting to take away your rights, your job, your family, your God..'.) person's time and hard earned money.

And now this. Savage uses combatative language here. "The SAVAGE Solution" (even though his real last name is Weiner) does make some connotation to Hitler's "Final Solution". Even O'Reilly said on his television show about a "Final Solution" that should be optioned in Iraq. The letters are red, bold and in your face. And right under that, he uses the word "arming." Which immediately made me think of "the right to bear arms". One does not use such combatitive rhetoric unless one wants to imply violence.
The title is about as far as one can go without actually advocating someone killing liberals. If you can't see it, then you're simply not paying attention.
