Take your money out of the Banks, put it in a Democratic Credit Union

The quickest and easiest way to boycott the Republican machine is to dump the banks. It's actually very easy, and you'll make out like a bandit financially.

First, for your normal checking account, savings account, ATM and credit cards, join a Democratic Credit Union - everyone is elibigle. All deposits are guarenteed by NCUA the exact same way that deposits in banks are insured by FDIC - and the NCUA is in much better shape as well. Here's a good place to start:

After that, you can slowly move over any other financial accounts, including your home mortgage, to a credit union. You'll get a better deal, better terms, not to mention help your community.

I love my credit union. They're aggressively pro-community, friendly, intimate, invested in the area. If I ever start my small business, I have no doubt I'll go to them for a loan. Totally worth it.

Most of the big organizations from the military, to federal workers, to state and local workers, most of the Fortune 500 companies, most of the unions, half of the churches, all have credit unions. It's really a no-brainer for the vast majority of people to use a credit union.

My husband was out of work for 2 years and our credit rating is total sh** right now. Because we don't have a good credit rating, we were turned down for a credit union account.

We have no choice but to stick with our bank.

Even with bad credit, you can find a credit union that you are eligible for. Check out the community development credit unions as a start. Credit unions can't advertise so you won't see TV commercials and billboard for them everywhere, but if you look you can find them.

When you have an account at the credit union, you become a member, and you get to vote for the board. The fact that you are a member makes you the credit union version of a shareholder, and it's usually one person, one vote.

Plus, historically, credit unions like labor unions have been on the side of the Democratic party.

I was running my dealings through "Buytheblue.org" and found out
My credit union donates 78% to Pukes.
I questioned the manager of my branch. Obviously, he was familiar
with my question, although his regurgitated responses only prompted more questions from me. He realized he wasn't in control of the situation (all quiet and respectful, mind you) and wanted to have his superior call me. I said that would be fine, and gave him my #.
Here's the deal. These guys are SCARED. If they were to lose 1/2 (or more) of their business....
Their options are clear. Donate no less than 50/50% Dems/Pukes
or lose. Look at what Media Matters is accomplishing with Sincliar Broadcasting.

My resolution is to make my money talk loud and FOR ME.
Sometimes, my money says "Bye Bye!"

Like the labor unions, credit unions nearly always come down on the side of the Democratic party. The Republicans and their banks are always attacking credit unions, Democrats usually stand up for them. It's been that way since the FDR days.

21. Switched in 92

couldn't get a home improvement loan through a regular bank. As a last resort went to our employee CU and got the loan. I have since switched my home loan to the CU and have borrowed money on numerous occasions from them.

I'm through with banks!

24. My Wife's father was a Postal worker, so that made us eligible

for membership in the Postal Credit Union. Look to see if you can get in a CU due to family members.
