Syndicated "entertainment" writer knows somethings wrong with the news:

Marvin Kitman is bemoaning the fate of the news on TV, but seems to have a superficial understanding of the problem. Of all the problems available to cite, he pulls Rather and the memos out as an example. He actually has symptoms correct, but he needs some baseline information. I think he would be interested in what we could tell him. What do you think?

I've written that the race for ratings is only one part of the problem. We should alert this potential ally that the "truth is out there". He seems so puzzled by the lack of information that, given his profession, it's kind of sad...
