| 1. Me too... but the VERY first thing I'd tell her is: Quit being so |

condescending. We are not in need of being FORGIVEN by the US! I have found her visit to Europe so very offensive! But would you believe that the German press keeps talking of that vulture's "charm offensive" (probably a literal quote from AP) and most call her CONDI now? :puke:
Nothing will happen. It's true that France seems to have read PNAC and is trying to rally the Europeans to become a true counterweight to the US - may the powers bless France and Chirac - but the European industry and especially the German industry which makes a LOT of money in the US has been putting a lot of pressure on our politicians to behave well. The next US-war I'm very much afraid we'll support. Especially if the CDU wins the next elections which they probably will. Merkel (*suppresses a lot of words that would describe that woman very aptly*) wants to sit on Bush's lap. She'll do ANYTHING the US asks of her.
Don't hope for help from Europe. Our ruling class is your ruling class. The rich have always been in league and globalization makes this worse than ever. Things would have to get a HELL of a lot worse before the Europeans come to the rescue. Against the massive resistance of our industry.
