| Rosenberg is pro-choice, surprised how it was such a big issue. |

He said he was really surprised at how strongly the pro-choice people in the party reacted this year. Apparently others were as well.
They were not aware?
ON Edit: I only changed the subject line. The message is still the same.

shocked that it was made an issue. He said that he didn't think we should give up the pro-choice stance.
HE SAID HE THOUGHT THE WAR WOULD HAVE BEEN A BIGGER ISSUE.
He's right.
He was basically saying that the Pro-Choice issue is a non issue cuz we are all or should be pro-choice.

You are right about what he said. But I also got that he was surprised at how many reacted so strongly about it. They mentioned Kate Michelman's thoughts about running.
He did agree the war should have been a bigger issue, and so do I. But he was pro-war about Iraq, and still is.
I like him a lot, so don't think I am misinterpreting. I think that the Roemer deal brought out a lot of strong feelings
I was not being critical of Rosenberg.

because the liberal POV is not represented.
In fact - all I hear from the MSM about democrats is that we don't have a message, we don't have values and we don't know what we're doing.
It doesn't surprise me if people are surprised to find out that democrats actually do have opinions about things.

| 7. You didn't get it. Why should we argue about a core issue like pro-choice |
|
That is what he's saying. WE are pro-choice and it isn't going to change.
War however isn't a core issue and we have some very different opinions on the war on Iraq in the party. So that should have been an issue.
I'm a woman that ain't gonna change so why argue about it. That is what he's saying.

| 15. Trouble is he still agrees strongly with the war in Iraq. |
|
The party did take his stance during the campaign...Kerry did, Hillary does. We took the stance that Iraq was a good thing...and I think Simon was right that it should have been a bigger issue...but the other way.
It should have been something we stood up strongly against...not for.
