The display below is called the Fraudulent Voting Machine. It is a teaching demonstration that shows why POST-ELECTION printouts from a voting machine do not create election security. After each fraudulent election, you will see three post-election audit trails, one accurate and two falsified, displayed side by side. The purpose of this demonstration is to show that unless each voter has the chance to verify a permanent, unalterable, physical record of his or her ballot choices, there is NO way to know whether computerized voting machine results are accurate or wrong.

The Fraudulent Voting Machine is set up for an election for President with two candidates, John Doe and Mary Smith. A "machine test" will give you honest vote counts, but if you select a "real election" and enter any votes, Mary Smith will WIN and John Doe will LOSE.

To see how computers can control election results, select a REAL ELECTION. Then enter more votes for John Doe, or give both candidates the same number of votes.

then I'd say that we don't need them for an "honest" election.

5. This site is fine but

I'm gonna keep saying this till my throat wears out: There is only one way to nip this in the bud: Somehow, someway prove that the results can be falsified and/or the machines can be hacked by really manipulating the real system. Otherwise, this is all he said/she daid. And diebold et. al will win that fight without breaking a sweat.

7. I think a multi-faceted approach to fighting this is appropriate,

as is happening now. If you or a group (working individually or together) want to try hacking a real system and then announce what you have done, be aware that you just might go to jail, probably won't pass go, and definitely will not collect $200.

8. Very good and easy to understand. I sent it to my contact at the

Election Commission.

This is just the type of thing that allows them to not only understand what they've seen, but to explain it/show it to others and have confidence in their explanation.
