As of Friday, Sept. 12, 292 U.S. soldiers have died since the beginning of military operations in Iraq, according to the Department of Defense.

The British military has reported 49 deaths. Denmark's military has reported one death.

On or since May 1, when President Bush declared that major combat operations in Iraq had ended, 154 U.S. soldiers have died in Iraq, according to the latest Defense Department figures.

You are right. Nobody promised but they certainly implied it; culminating with a final scene aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Unfortunately, the original scripted ending has been modified by others.

that Bush lied to everyone to get us into this war and didn't have a plan for occupation, defied the UN and didn't listen to the experts on the problems they would encounter. You tell me why you think we are there.

Remember the way they blasted anyone who criticized this and said it would last a long time, remember the way those people were called anti-American?
Remember Bush standing on the deck of the carrier, proclaiming "Mission accomplished" and announcing the end of the war?

13. I believe Rummy and Wolfowitz both referred to an invasion of Iraq

as being a "Cake-walk". We'd be greeted as liberators....

We were sold on a war "on-the-cheap" by Rumsfeld and he MUST be held accountable.

There was no legitimate reason for America to attack Iraq. None whatsoever.

"Rummy" should be in prison.

4. I see these numbers everyday and they just don't seem to add up.

Do you think DoD might be lying just a tad bit? I do. Has antony looked into the KIA thing from my understanding someone was saying DoD is only listing KIA's. Basically if a soliders wounded in the field, taken to the hospital and dies later they're not considered a KIA. I don't know just something I read.

9. That is true, but the website cross-references local stories

with the DoD site. We would have heard if people were reported dead to their families and not listed on the DoD site. If you link up and look at the list on names, you will see the names of those who died at Walter Reed or in Germany.
