Dunno if it is or not, but I saw a pretty good political cartoon today, if I can find a link, I'll post it later, but it pretty much sums up GWB for me, and it got me good and pissed off!

I'll describe the comic...

GWB has a booklet in front of him, he's standing at a podium. The booklet is entitled "Embryonic Stem-Cell Research"

The quote bubble on GWB says, we cannot go about carelessly wasting viable life...

There is a flag-draped coffin behind GWB, and a quote bubble coming out of the coffin saying "AHEM!!"

U.S. President George Bush today signed into law the American Servicemembers Protection Act of 2002, which is intended to intimidate countries that ratify the treaty for the International Criminal Court (ICC). The new law authorizes the use of military force to liberate any American or citizen of a U.S.-allied country being held by the court, which is located in The Hague. This provision, dubbed the "Hague invasion clause," has caused a strong reaction from U.S. allies around the world, particularly in the Netherlands. (no kidding)

In addition, the law provides for the withdrawal of U.S. military assistance from countries ratifying the ICC treaty, and restricts U.S. participation in United Nations peacekeeping unless the United States obtains immunity from prosecution. At the same time, these provisions can be waived by the president on "national interest" grounds.

One of the first things Bush's administration did after the coup of 2000 was to work out arrangements with other nations, in other words threaten and bribe other nations into excluding the US from any kind of accountability to the International Criminal Court. They backed out of the arrangemenst made by Clinton. Do you think they knew something was up?
