So, today is the anniversary of the handover of sovereignty to the provisional government of Iraq, and the cabloids are marking the anniversary by rightly pointing out how, in a year, the whole Grand Neocon Plan (such as it was) has gone straight to hell. Disapproval numbers for Bush's handling of the occupation are at an all-time high, and the American public now believes that Bush is more responsible for provoking the war than Saddam Hussein.
But did anyone expect this whole crap idea to pan out any better than it has?
