That is how I read the U.S. websites. The U.S. corporate media makes it seem like London and Britain have never dealt with something like this before.
I rarely go to U.S. websites, but I liked the idea of compare/contrast.

I am disgusted by the nanosecond it took to skew the story to an American affected perspective. Rather than focusing on the impact to Britain and the underlying causes of terrorism it's all about the personal safety of Americans. Note the poll on the bottom right of CNN's front page. Once again we get oppression by the exploitation of anxiety.
