Im tired of this term. My parents and I have been fans of NASCAR for my entire life. In fact, my mother was the first Daytona 500 in 50's. yes, she was born and raised in Florida, but hates rednecks as much as the rest of us and has given me many of my liberal ideals. My father is from Canada and has traveled all over the country. We are all fans of NASCAR. None of us is what you would call a "NASCAR Dad" or "Soccer Mom" or anything of the sort. I really dont think its a term we should be using to categorize the Repubs as many Liberals enjoy NASCAR also. Im tired of pretending to hate NASCAR when Im around Liberals because I know once I say that I lose all credibility in their eyes. So enough with "NASCAR Dads".

| 1. It's all stereotypes and negative framing anyway |

Just as it isn't proper to state that every White Anglo-Saxon Protestant in the South is a supporter of the Republican Party or was or is a member of the KKK.

Theres always a large sub culture that can be exploited out there for a vote. Just apply a catch phrase to draw em in. Are comic book dads next? I say that as someone who reads comic books :D
