I was born too late to see MLK Jr. give his I have a dream speech or be inspired by Roosevelt during WWII. I never got to feel chills run up my spine hearing JFK or RFK. I missed out crying tears of inspiration when Rosa Parks showed iron fisted courage when she refused to go to the back of the bus.
I have been alive 36 years and never knew real inspirational leadership in difficult times. The kind they write about in History books. The kind that gets someones face on a coin. That is until this year when soft spoken yet eloquent John Conyers was the lone voice in the wilderness showing incredible courage standing up to the Bush Administrations and it's corruption leading the charge on the DSM. Now he is the first to start the charge to bring attention to Rovegate.
I think he has been Amazing and an incredible inspiration! He has moved my heart and I think he deserves a thousand thank you notes from DU.
