OK, I'll say it - I LOVE the DU Activist Corp!

At the risk of patting my own back (since I'm one of 'em) the DU Activist Corp is one hell of a group!

The letters that were sent off to various newspapers concerning Rove/Plame (in response to the first official AC act) are outstanding. Every last one.

If this is what we can expect of this group in the future than we have a very powerful weapon here.

Please consider joining us, if you can.

I've said before that I can't join 'cause I watch my grandkids everyday, but my one daughter is on maternity leave now, so I just have the other one. And I'm on the 'puter now, aren't I??? So, tell me a little about how you're involved and maybe I can find the time. I'd love to join.

6. It took me about an hour to write a letter

and send it. I just read other DUers letters for ideas and drafted my own. I felt good doing it.

I sent my first via snail mail, then I sent one via email, it felt so good I'll probably spend some time this afternoon emailing regional papers.

5. Sent mine to Newsday via email

Got it back saying they needed my address and home and work phone numbers. Phone numbers? Resent it with the info they wanted. Took only about 15 minutes total.
