If you didn't see it last night, try to catch the re-run today- the interview with Woodward and Bernstein was really good. Jon brought up some wonderful "everyman" questions ("Bush was standing right in front of Rove when he said he wanted to get to the bottom of this- why didn't he JUST turn around and say, Karl! be a man! Did you f'ing DO this?") W&B appeared delighted and eager to participate in that kind of open discussion. They could have done another hour.

1. I loved the show last night. But I thought Bernstein was much more

forth coming about the White House, Rove and the scandal than Woodward. Woodward looked like he was sucking on a lemon with some of the stuff that Bernstein was saying. Jon's questions was stuff that Woodward should have been asking since he has so much access to this White House. Think he realized that Jon was calling him out. Have a lot more admiration for Carl after that interview.

Stewart and The Daily Show is just the perfect end after a long day.

2. The differences between Woodward and Berstein were clear, too

Berstein was eager to talk about the implications of what we know so far about 'Rovegate', but Woodward keep trying to steer the topic back to 'we don't know enough yet', 'there may not have been any wrongdoing', etc...

I guess that's what Woodward thinks a re-por-ter should do? Or maybe it's because he's ex-Naval Intelligence, and also doesn't want to lose his access...
