Novack's recent explaination on Plame article.

Apparently Novack admits the CIA asked him NOT to print Valerie's name, but that "NOBODY told him she was a NOC."

Well, tonight, I heard a valid explaination for that! The CIA agent he spoke to COULDN'T tell Novack she was a NOC, because if he had, HE would have been gulity of outing a CIA agent! The request "not to print" should have been enough!

Now I really feel stupid! I should have realized that a long time ago. Novack admitted a long time ago that he spoke to someone at the CIA and they asked him not to print the name, but never said "DON'T!

When the CIA asks you not to do something, it would behoove you to not do it. But of course he's been in Washington long enough to know that.
