Ed said that's their strategy - get her out of there before the big fund raiser by instituting some local law - he's going to track down who it was and get them on the horn.

4. Ed was great with her ~

he gave her so much time to say what she had to say ~ she didn't know the name of the official who contacted her camp to say she would be arrested because, she said 'I'm not from Texas'.

He then had another woman call in and say that her brother is a soldier and that she and her mother are furious with Bush. Her mother is going to Texas, she said, and Ed said he'd like to have her on the show when she gets there.

He's saying now that 'Cindy has the people on her side'. When he asked her if she thought she represented the people, Cindy said 'I represent the 61% of the people who now oppose this war'.

Ed got the name of the official, Charles Dock Anderson. His show called him and the answer they got which Ed said he wanted 'on the record', was that 'we are not law-enforcement'!! Ed said 'whatever that means, but we're going to stay on this'.

He's getting calls now ~ and Cindy is THE topic. He also asked about the Drudge smear, which she answered very well ~

Ed is doing great, way better than Al Franken who was trying to be 'fair' to a man who has shown no sign of 'fairness' to anyone!! Ed is in full agreement with Cindy, that Bush needs to explain what this war was for!!

32. Al said 'in all fairness to the president' twice while describing the

situation. He played audio of Cindy's interview with Blitzer. He also seemed to emphasize that Cindy was a grieving mother whose grief has now gone to anger (not his exact words, but pretty close)

He seemed to be playing it pretty careful - not willing to get onboard the whole way with Cindy, like a wait and see posture.

26. Actually there were two women

who called in, one was the sister of a soldier and she said both she and her mother wanted to go to Crawford.

Then there was another mother who was inspired by Cindy, her son is going to Iraq in a few weeks. She is going to Crawford. Sorry, I don't know if her name was Mona, it could have been. She was clearly upset and worried about her son.

Ed told both the sister and the second caller, the mother, to call him when they get there.

Now he has another freeper on the phone, saying that 'Cindy is being used by the left, by liberals blah, blah!' Ed let him rant for a while, about 'Saddam shooting at our planes etc.' then let him go.

Another caller supporting Cindy and dissing the freepers!! Caller sayiing that the Bush administration has made this country 'fanatical'. Ed couldn't be better on this!!

28. Just heard Ed say

that the woman's name, the mother of the soldier, was Mona ~ he said he's getting many, many calls offering to pay her airfare etc.

He won't be able to do that, but, he says, he will facilitate by sharing information.

Another caller, saying Bush has a real problem now, with Cindy!!

Oh, and Ed is going to have Hackett on. I think he's on next. He says he's got 'real potential' and he 'ought to be running right now'. He's going to ask him about running again, he says!

This has been Ed's best show ever, so far, and it's not over yet!!!

the local official threatening her with arrest. He just asked 'are they going to use the Patriot Act against her?' He said this is what the people want to see on the media, not what they're getting.

He also said he'll have her on every day until she leaves.

I think Ed realizes this is a big story ~

He knows who the official is. He said they are going to try to let the 'good ole boys' take care of it!! 'That's the way they do things' he said!!

Another caller is saying 'If Bush was a man of honor he'd be out there talking to her'. He's a veteran and he said 'She puts me in tears' when she talks about her son. He says there needs to be 'civil unrest'. He's disgusted with the American people for letting this happen.

He's thrashing Rush Limbaugh ~ says that's typical of that 'fatass', re Rush's comment about him.

He says he lost a lot of Republican votes that day, and that his, Rush's, phones were ringing off the wall with calls from veterans.

Rush is a 'country club, drug-addict Republican' Paul says, that's what other Repubs told him!!

Ed says 'do you know what a breath of fresh air you are?'

Paul says the tragedy of the deaths of soldiers is double because you have to ask 'what are we accomplishing there?' The troops are being asked to accomplish things while the administration is cutting taxes etc.

Now Ed is asking him about Cindy ~ 'doesn't know much about it, and feels uncomfortable about expoiting a family's loss' but 'shows disconnect of this president, on vacation, paying lip-service to soldiers' ~ 'he should take the time to get it straight when he walks into a room with grieving families'.
