Nothing about the accusations, just a statement that he is not aware of any investigation.

This is a FAR cry from "I am not an addict". "these charges are spurious and false", or "I have been unfairly accused to being addicted to painkillers. In order to prove my innocence, I will submit to a supervised drug test THIS afternoon".
