Bergstrom AFBase could be used to house some as

well as other closed military bases. The barracks need cleaning out but kthey have mess halls and other facilities already that with staffing could move quickly to house these people. Like the ones the Astrodome is refusing to take.

Any takers on this idea?

1. i agree. It may come to this within the next week or so as

they need to create true refugee camps. (Somethign I never thought to see in this country...but then this is not America anymore.)

2. Posts are moving so fast I posted this earlier

Camp Maxey (National Guard base) is opening--can house 400--special needs especially since there is a dialysis center close by.
With all these people without water all these hours...makes me wonder how many that were already fragile healthwise will end up in renal failure?

3. just saw a case of diabetic ketoacidosis at the convention center

had one nurse, amazingly someone had regular insulin and a syringe. She will improve for now.

I am really interested in persuing this, any ideas on a way to get this idea moving.

4. Yes, but some bases have...

been demolished or converted to other purposes like Bergstrom which is now an airport.... Don't think therez much left of the 'base' infrastructure at many sites.
