Why do RWer's think bush is the greatest president there ever was?

I mean, I can't figure it. We know how shitty of a president he is, but for the life of me, I can't understand how in the hell they think he's so great?

Has anyone ever seriously asked a RWer what it is? Is it all about gawd?

...many of my RW friends think Bu$h is a wuss! I think I mentioned these guys before. They don't think Bu$h is nearly conservative enough and is nothing but a tax-and-spend Republican. They say that a true conservative wouldn't have expanded the government, and he wouldn't be pandering to the Latino voters (amnesty, worker programs, driver licenses for illegals, etc). They also think he's done next to nothing to stem the flow of immigrants coming in from the borders. These guys claim that it's a matter of "national security". They also think he's nothing but an elitist and doesn't really have any connection to the middle class voter. Here's another tidbit I found odd...they don't like the Patriot Act AND they're against Federal capitol punishment because they say the government shouldn't be in that role. Funny what you can find out about folks after a few rounds of Guinness. :crazy:

He looks, talks, acts, and 'thinks' just like them. Holds a mirror up to them and plays them. They're utter suckers for narcissism. (Arguably, a lot of Southern voters don't really respond to anything except that, really...and fall for it hook, line, and sinker.)

He's different from all the other Republican leading sycophants in a peculiar way. His handlers realized/understood that moderates and Republicans were/are complete suckers to occultic methodology and doctrine, which for political purposes amounts to magical thinking and cult behavior toward a High Priest figure. In Dubya they found a guy who really was enough of blank slate and amoral/lacking in dignity and a subscriber to magical beliefs himself to pull off the High Priest act convincingly. Gingrich and Dole were congenitally unable to do it. Robertson and Bauer couldn't convince anyone outside their own narrow cultural sphere. McCain is sort of schizo about it- there are times he clearly lays it on, other times he's completely grossed out by what he's doing and the audience it appeals to.

Oh yeah, he kicks them hard enough and praises them with utter bullshit talk, and they worship him because he obviously understands what sh-t they really consider themselves. He gives them purpose. As one woman told my mother, "He'll save us!" (When my mother asked "From what?" she had no answer.)

They fancy themselves rugged individualists whereas at best they are members of a corrupt club, and could not survive a week in the life of the average poor American. Truth be told, Grover Norquist is as much a traitor to the American people as the Walker brothers. Like the Walkers, Grover is quite willing to sell out America to the highest bidder. That, you see, is why government must needs be weakened ... so the people and the land are more readily sold.

What is exciting about these times, to me, is that the ugliness, the brutality, the horrible anti-Christianity of neo-conservatism has been laid bare for all with eyes to see it. We are far beyond the point at which intellectual dialog arguing subtle points of abstract debate have any significance. The truth is right before all our eyes.

they think he is a good ol boy that is average in intelligence. Kinda gives them a feeling of "if he can do it, I can do it" attitude. Also, rove was very good at portraying him as an everyday joe. My opinion really just echos much of what has already been said. A few points:

1) The propaganda. To me this is paramount to understanding the fanaticism of Chimp's defenders. The average adult who really does not follow politics very closely, but is able to listen to the radio during the day is swamped by the likes of the right wing talking heads. I live in St Louis, and the biggest radio station here is a right wing, all talk FM radio station. It is a good example, as I am sure that many cities have similar venues. Their schedule is roughly as follows:

An average weekday's programming-

-Wall Street Journal this Morning.

-Local right wing wacko show.

-Laura Ingraham

-O'Reilly

-Glen Beck

-Sean Hannity

-Local right wing slanted drive home funnyman

-Sean Hannity AGAIN for an hour.

-Tony Snow

-Michael Savage

-America at Night

-*Repeat*

-Faux News updates on the hour every hour.

I work at a large company, and I hear this station ALL day long from people's cubes and offices. this is propaganda, and people tend to believe what they are fed...pure and simple human psychology.

2) Bush is a Moral Man. (:rofl:) No really, he is..I SWEAR :rofl:. He is against stem cell research, vehemently anti-abortion and he talks about god. Enough said. to the average 'god fearin' repuke who makes 30 grand a year and doesn't realize that they are a part of the 'have nots' as Bush refers to them, this is enough. to them, libruls are evil heathens who promote public masturbation and homosexuality in schools...Sean Hannity and Michael Savage said so.

3) Pride. most of these repukes have talked so much trash in defense of Bush, that their egos will not let them admit that he is wrong. they are past the point of no return so to speak.


this question really is one that should go to a team of psychologists and sociologists for study. It truly is one that is worth examining and shows a lot of our country's intelligence as a whole...not very good.

I would rank this one up there with 'Why are we here?'
