Since the suspects have been released, there's probably not much to report.

I feel badly for her family, though. I do think parents need to stop letting their 17 and 18 year olds take these trips for spring break or hs graduation. They are too young, even if an 18 year old is an adult. There are ways to ensure they don't go-don't let them have enough money, for one thing, and tell them they will have to pay part of their own tuition in the fall, even if you plan on paying it all. If they think they are going to have to pay, they won't be spending their money on a trip they don't need to take.

This was my parents' strategy. It worked 2 out of 3 times, and at least with my sister, she was a freshman in college before she went on one of those Florida Spring Break trips/drunken beachfests.
