I called them; they're back in the hotel room giggling at it all. They survived the experience of getting arrested / a shiner, and are tougher, more fabulous women for it!

that there were over 250 arrested, no less.

23. My friend was like #189 of the women

she said there was a total of 218 women arrested and processed. She heard the numbers were up in the 190's for the men's processing side. She also told me that there were some who were arrested in the morning near the Pentagon who got out and got arrest in D.C.

BTW, My friend told me that she was on one of the last busses and they got KFC.

I HAVE, in my disposable camera, a picture JimmyJazz took of meganmonkey in front of the WH. There were snipers aiming at us, a row of stern guards, a fence, and a cop. We were egging meganmonkey on to lift her skirt and show the guard some leg.

We kept saying, "Make him SMILE!" and he did. Then JimmyJazz snapped the picture. Afterward, meganmonkey said, "I feel like a celebrity!" She is precious.

15. You know I had never been to a protest before Saturday

but I am so glad that I did, it really gave me a chance to get rid of alot of my tension that I have felt for the past five years. I feel really calm right now and I am hoping it lasts for awhile. I just wanted to say way to go to the ladies who were arrested. I use to think that this sort of thing didn't do any good but after Saturday I have totally changed my mind. You go girls!

The reason was because they stopped on the sidewalk for a prolonged period. The cops were so fucking cool - they were really friendly...it was inevitable that they were going to be arrested. Megan was in one of the first paddy wagons.
