| Bush raises the private response to Katrina. We know THAT was good, dick |
|
We saw an immediate response from private citizens to help after Katrina.
It's the GOVERNMENT that failed. Not only did the government not move, but it actually worked to obstruct the private response. And the quintessential role of the government is looking beyond the immediate crisis has been discarded in a government that has, as a conscious strategy, of pushing problems past 2008 instead of curing them.
There's a lot of good out there in America. It's the Bush government that is fucked up, dragging us down, emphasizing the worst, suppressing the best.
The best and bravest are sent off to get killed for nothing in Iraq. The worst and most cowardly get nice jobs at FEMA.
I could go on and on, but the man and his cronies and his vision for America are BLIGHTS upon the nation.
He doesn't get to praise US for OUR private response. He only gets to explain why he won't try to keep up.
