The GJ hears evidence, asks questions, and votes on indictments. Attorneys can only advise their clients on the way to and from the gj.

There is no "defense" involved. Anyone testifying must do so Without the assistance of a lawyer during questioning. Just the Individual, the Prosecutor and the Grand Jury.
