My boyfriend (howardx on DU) and I had many a political argument with Buck on his forum, until Buck's wife got pissed at me for telling Buck like it was (there are no WMD, Bush is a liar, no one died when Clinton lied, etc.) even though Buck really enjoyed the "intelligent" conversation and arguments (he told me so several times). She actually started a hate thread on me! Howard let her have it:) The board was subsequently closed down; it is now reopened but discussions on politics are strictly forbidden! heh

We never talked politics when we hung out together, only on the internets:) Funny thing is, his wife and I got along famously, even swapped recipes and such, until the political discussion began and she couldn't deal with my "disrespect for the president". She hated it when I called him Bushie, or Chimpie:)

BTW - Don't Fear the Reaper is all Buck's;)
