| At the very least,, Woodward's tale makes the WH look like a nest of liars |
|
If it's true that Hadley, and, possibly, Card, were spreading info on Joe Wilson and his wife to Woodward, this could mute out everything that comes from this White House. We still haven't been told the whole story of what was actually going on by the administration. Bush supporters want us to shrug this off as trivial. But there's so much BS coming out now, so many of their lies coming to roost, that it just may wise up many Americans to their cons and their scheming.
There will be more hunkering down by Bush's shills as they hide from the fresh avalanche of questions on the way in the weeks to come. I get the sense that every time they try to hit back with the same old rhetoric that sold their military meddling in the past, they just invite more questions.
Tipping point, I think.

|

| 4. And it has to open up someone to false testimony |
|
if, in fact, they told investigators that they hadn't spread the name.
I think Woodward was trying to minimalize the way the info was conveyed to give cover to Hadley or others to say that it was an offhand comment that they 'forgot'. But, I don't think that will make any difference to the prosecutor. Easy enough for the actors to agree to downplay the info as they related it to reporters and as they revealed the link between Joe Wilson's trip to Niger and his CIA wife.

'White House at War' was an unbelievable softpeddle of a corrupt campaign that led to an illegal war. Fantasy, I thought.
There's something big here, but you won't get it out of Woodward's mouth.
