They are elected representatives in their states, and they are therefore a reflection of their constituencies. They have a right to "represent" the way they do.
What I DON'T like is that they somehow think their more conservative democratic base is representative of the greater democratic community.
That's where both are wrong - I just can't buy into democratic hawkishness on the topic of Iraq.
It has cost us the lives of well over 2000 idealistic dutiful soldiers and well over 30,000 lives of people just trying to avoid being killed by either side, just trying to get home to feed their kids.
How dare we think that Saddam was evil enough to warrant saving the village this badly. The deaths of those humans are pinned on every one of us Americans, and especially on the shoulders of the hopelessly stupid people who think "it's worth it".
