Who does the WH Holiday Card go out to? |
|
I keep thinking, who the hell does it go out to? It seems to be a bad idea because it says the WH wishes a happy holidays to some Americans but not all of them. And if it's going to campaign contributors or supporters only then that should come from Bush's campaign fund or his own pocket as should any of his personal cards.
I know this seems to be a tradition but it seems like a pointless waste of American dollars if we're selecting which Americans deserve a happy holidays wish from our government leader whom he is supposed to be accountable to and whom pays his salary.
Bad taste to exclude anybody in my opinion.

3. Funny I don't get those cards... |

Did your dad support LBJ in any way? Financially, volunteering, just plain voting for him?
That's what I'm getting at. There has to be a way they figured this list out.

9. He worked on the Ranch |

He was Air Force and operated the airstrip there when Lyndon was in town. Everyone on the support mission got one. I understood that literally tens of thousands were sent out annually.

I got them from Bill Clinton. One year from poppy Bush--not sure how I got on *that* list.

7. We got one from the Clinton's |
|
the first year they were in the WH. We certainly weren't big donors either. Don't know if this WH would consider sending one to small donors like the Clinton's did.

10. We received one in our office.... |

My boss is a democrat, and she received one. I'm confident in saying that she hasn't given money to Bush. She's on Laura's mailing list.
(it was a computer generated label, if that lessens the sting at all.)
