| Poll question: So, how much eddykashun you got, Bozo? |
|
I don't recall this question bein asked yet. So, let's see how over-educated (indoctrinated?) we are on this board, OK? Simply indicate the highest level of education you've so far attained, please. Let's see just how 'elite' we are.

I never had to give one and I hardly went to a rinky-dink school. Is that on the "level" of an MBA?

:silly: Degree requirements vary by discipline and over time, as well as by the college or university. Quibbles about the choices are hardly revelatory. It's my preference to see the tally separately.

The thesis IS the MA, in my opinion.

I don't have paraprofessional cert. but a Master's. I work in Adult ESL. Our principal is NOT pleased that we, the only unrepresented entity, finally got our act together enough to join the union and there is a movement amongst some of us to decertify our membership. grrrr...

... "better late than 'According to Hoyle'." It's been my experience that folks who obtained their degrees when they were more (cough) mature tend to integrate that learning far more extensively.
Congratulations! :hi:

Of the three fields I've studied, studying for my license to practoce professional nursing was the hardest.

People always leave that one out... :) But I'm definitely an addict. I have two undergrad degrees (journalism and poli sci), and I'm only a couple credits short of a third (philosophy). I will either get a Ph.D. in English, or possibly a Secondary Education degree, eventually. And I often entertain getting an M.A. in Poli Sci, too.

That probably figures.
(The A.B.A. proclaims a J.D. is the equivalent of a Ph.D. ... but that pushes the LLB, LLM, LLD, and JSD's into the rarified heights of mere smoke over the pinnacles of learning. How appropriate!)

... went to Michigan State and got his Masters in four years, went on to Johns Hopkins and got his M.D. and then went to Georgetown and got his J.D. Pete eventually became the Director of the Medical Staff at the FDA. Retired, he's now on the Board of a pharma start-up and attends conferences, usually as a panelist. When I think 'addict' I think of Peter.

Had this degree 6 years and temping for Kelly Services. Hoo boy!
Sometimes I wonder if it'd have been better if I just went into a trade right after high school. I think I'd be making a lot more money as a plumber, mechanic, etc. The upside is I learned how to type essays, learned the underlying reasons the world is as fucked up as it is today, and enhanced by cynism immeasureably. Parents want me to go to law law school, but I'm thinking I should learn a trade that is in demand - in say, New Zealand.
