As long as the Repugs are loading up the defense bill, we can too!

Today I read of the second major atrocity added to the 2006 Defense Authorization Act. Last week it was ANWR; this week, it's Catkiller Frist's drug company welfare provisions.

And I say fine. Let them waste time on this shit. All we need are some brave, longwinded senators who will stand up and start attempting to load the bill with everything we've ever wanted, from Homosexual Battalions and Full Marriage Rights for Box Turtles to a finding that George W. Bush is the worst criminal on the planet.

Naturally, the Repugs will fight our amendments...at which point we simply tell them that as soon as they promise to quit loading the bill with all these things that have nothing to do with defense like "ANWR drilling," we'll stop doing the same.
