| It Used To Be Ludicrous, Now Its Just Bullshit |

Edited on Wed Dec-21-05 11:30 PM by ThomWV
If there is no Patriot Act on January 1 the world will not end. Police officers will not lessen their vigil. The FBI will not fold up shop and go home. Airplanes won't be hi-jacked for lack of marshals and bombs won't explode to the uncaring ears of civil servants. Its just bullshit, that's all it is, bullshit.
If the Defense Appropriations Bill is not passed before the first of the year the world will not end. Our soldiers will not lay down their guns and walk home. Bullets will still roll off the presses, ships at sea will continue to steam, our fighting men and women will be paid. Anyone who tells you otherwise is an idiot.
It used to be their exaggerations were simply ludicrous, now its just plain bullshit.

| 1. My only concern is that they won't pay the military! |
|
I don't care if the Patriot Act is renewed or not. I don't think it did anything anyway.
My concern is about the Defense Appropriations bill. I don't care if they don't fund the was, but I do care if the military people don't get paid! I think this is where there $$ comes from.

| 2. The Patriot Act and the Defense Appropriations |
|
were two different items. Defense has been passed without ANWR, and Patriot Act has a six-month extension.
