MSNBC says Dem's wanted Patriot Act to expire; Repugs saved it....

MSNBC got their spin orders from the White House. The flip-spin is to claim that the Democrats wanted to leave our country unprotected....that the repugs fought tooth and nail to save the Patriot Act and to save America......They are pumping out a Victory message!

This is just a paraphrase of the news blip shown from their White House reporter. No link, just TV spin at the moment. They will no doubt show it again.....:banghead:

17. The Congressional goal was to amend the Patriot Act.

It would be political suicide to let it expire. Modification is the smart way at this phase. As we can see, the White House spin is to not identify there being a by-partisan effort to address key issues such as "civil liberties" etc......The White House wanted a rubber-stamp to continue their abuse....but Joe 6-pack does not understand the Patriot Act beyond it being an American Shield. They got that impression from the neocons and White House spin of fear, be afraid and terror, terror, terror message.
