Does anybody remember when it was announced that tower one was hit by a "commercial" plane? I booted up my computer and checked the headlines that morning and saw a banner running across the Chicago Trib's site that "a plane" had hit one of the twin towers. I immediately turned on the television and within a few minutes watched as the second plane hit. I don't remember hearing confirmation that it was a commercial jet until later. The reason this stands out in my mind is because I was trying to determine what kind of plane hit the first tower. Not just private vs commercial, but small vs large. How did bar know before the second tower was hit that the first tower was hit by a commercial jet?
