Maybe it`s my tv but does anyone else see that it appears that the left side of his mouth has dropped? Small stroke maybe? Just wondering.

| 1. more than usual bumbling speech today |
|
When Bush started his speech today I had trouble following what he was saying and thought I was just bored as usual but he kept stumbling and then the camera went to Blair who appeared to look concerned for Bush's conduct. Bush finally settled down and did his usual. Probably just my imagination since no one else has mentioned it. For a moment I thought Bush might blink out our something bizzar.

When they have to lie, they affect an odd sort of lisp. I think you were seeing the physical effect of that. If you look at a replay of the speech, you'll see that when he begins that passionate part, he lisps his "S" sounds. Rummy does it sometimes, and so did Richard Nixon. So does Janet Reno, for that matter. It isn't a constant lisp, just when they say certain things. I'm sure a psychologist would have a name for it.
