| The incredible bouncing casualty count |

From this morning's CNN report on the latest Iraq war dead:
"The deaths bring the total number of U.S. soldiers killed in the Iraq war to 432 -- 300 of them under hostile conditions."
Does this seem right to you? Every count I've read prior to this one has spoken of the 400+ figure as killed in action. But with this 'adjustment', combined with the flap from a couple of months ago about the real casualty figures being classified, who really knows for sure? Anybody got some better resources on this?
And do you get the feeling they're telling us whatever they think they have to?
