| Hell hath no fury like a people scorned! |
|
Fellow DU'ers do not (I repeat) do not underestimate the power and resources that are now being mobilized to defeat George W. Bush. Right now there are major Democratic think tanks formed to develop and coordinate strategies for one purpose and only one purpose to kick His Residency the hell out of the White House. Never before in our history have so many been so passionate in this cause. In this regard we owe a great deal of gratitude to the neo-con fascists who are running the show. They are so over the top crazy that they have incited even the most passive of the electorate to marshall arms in the fight to oust them. And the best news of all is that there is now big money entering the fight to back the groundswell of grassroots sympathizers and supporters. Folks like George Soros and lesser multi-millionaires are putting their money where their mouth is. Thanks to the Internet we now have the ability to raise money in large sums and activate large numbers of volunteers in a flash. Yes folks it is all coming together in what I expect is going to be a classic battle. The corporatists and special interests versus the common man (the people). Only this time the people are armed and dangerous. Forget what you hear from the media whore pundits about which Dem candidate is more feared, etc. When it all comes down to it, we will rally behind a candidate who will kick Dubyas ass next November in a way it has never been kicked before.

| 1. And it seems like Dick Gephardt and John Kerry are helping Bush |
|
Instead of joining forces with fellow Democrats.
The Osama Bin Laden ad being used against Dean in South Carolina funded by those with connections to Kerry and Gephardt is obscene.

| 3. That is because they fear the anti establisment |
|
Dean represents big time change. He is an outsider who is not afraid to take on the establishment. What the insiders fear most is us. Because if we unify in our efforts to unseat them they are dead in the water. The one thing they count on is their ability to feed us bullshit and keep us in the dark. An informed and motivated electorate is very dangerous to those who are in power.

We shall be the overwhelming power which turns the tide of human history.
We'd better. We own the power to turn this green planet into a desert. This may be our last chance to make use of that power wisely.
Peace.

I think that the battle for democracy will be won or lost in the primaries.

| 8. That ad hits Dean in his soft spot. Admit it. |
|
And it is a gentle kiss on the cheek compared to the ads Bush*s PR firms are probably focus-grouping right now.
I look at that ad as a blessing. It gives Dean a chance to prove he can crush the BFEE - because they will be all over his lack of foreign policy experience in this dangerous world where there are evildoers who want to destroy us.
Show me what you can do Howard. If you can skillfully overcome this attack against your greatest weakness - many of us who think Kerry or Clark would be a stronger opponent would likely change our minds.

Gephart, Kerry, Libberman, are right in there with with the rethugs. They have got it made and fear the man who will kick there ass away from the trough. Houard Dean is the rethugs and Bush Lite boys worse bad dream. Edwards, Clark, Dennis K, Sharpton, and Braun are running the normal campaine against a front runner, no problem. If is is fact that Kerry and Gephart are behind that add, they won't ever get my vote. They are not Democrats if it is true.

our new worst 4-letter word, replacing 'F*ck'. Even 'F*ck' can have a a positive (albeit in a more vulgar sense) meaning, but 'Bush' offers nothing of the sort. 10 years from now, the very utterance of the 'B' word should send parents scrambling for the soap, and censors for the 'bleep' button.
On edit: I mean to add, 'Great post!' I love seeing the more positive posts instead of the 'We're going to lose in 2004 because...'

| 7. There is an outside chance the Shrub will lose Texas too |
|
His base is faltering, people know how to count.
Meaning, there are many rich guys and they all have one thing in common, portfolios, bank accounts, etc. The Dow should be about 14,000 now if the Shrub had played the game smart. Peace will being about a richness the World has never known. But to the Pubs of the OLD WAY> its the opposite.
Enter the New thinking,
Peace leads to richness, via, less waste, less strife, less conflicts, more fun. more investments, more building, more travel, more friends, less loloness, etc etc
People are starting to learn the Shrub is the OLD WAY, caught in a TIME WARP
He has a good chance of losing his home State

When Bush's cronies steal water rights from West Texans, you can bet your chaps and spurs that Texans aren't going to vote for him. You don't steal water and get away with it.

Born in McAllen and then was in Austin. My family is still in TX. I'm in CA now w/ AAAAAhnuld. :( What's the word out there in mighty Tejas? Are they just completely embarrassed by this chimp or have repugs totally taken over the state? I was just curious b/c I love Texas very much and I feel so embarrassed the idiot-in-chief "claims" to be from TX when he was born in New Hampshire! Thanks. Peace Out 4/20

I just sent you a private e-mail. I was born in McAllen, as well. I'm glad I escaped Texas now that shrub has trashed it.
I was 8th generation Texan....it's sad to be so disappointed in the land of my ancestors.

of Washington power brokers fighting behind public lines. That is the main problem I have with the BFEE/PNAC crowd.
I know the Democratic heavies wish us no harm, but they only seem to talk and act within their own tight circles. I would feel better if they let the people in on their efforts, and don't blame the media on this one - I've seen nothing in our liberal alt-press, either.
I speak enough politician to know that "trust me" = "fuck you".

Because this is going to be the mother of all elections. You are going to see the nastiest & dirtiest campaign you've ever seen from these guys. They'll get even scarier if they feel it slipping away. As far as I see the election has started and we already see Rove making his moves. He's already going after Dean. We need to get on w/ picking your candidate and start our strategy on winning 2004. I'm seeing a lot of people here getting into petty debates about non-issues and letting Rove control "our" debate w/ his dis-information crap. Are we ready to stand together and fight this war? Because they've started and we have to be ready to go! Wasting time on why Al didn't call Joe and was Joe betrayed is not important. That's what Rove wants. We want to talk about our plan for America, our candidate, and how awful * has been. My god shrub should be able to defeat himself just by his actions. So here we go on to the White House!!!!!!!!!!!2004

And I really hope the party doesn't shoot itself in both feet, because this one should be a winner.
This election won't be a pushover, though. Like it or not, Shrub still has a lot of support. Why? Beats me, but it's out there. And there are a lot of people who will just sit things out before they vote Democratic.
It's going to be a real slugfest, and we have to be smart, not just tough, to win it.
A Dukakis or Gore campaign just won't cut it.
Anybody whining about how your favorite candidate is being slammed in the primary might as well get out of the way now. Next year is going to be a bloody hell like you can't imagine.
