If Al Franken gets a radio show and it's as good as his book, "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right," I'll listen....

I listen to NPR and drive my boss and his helper nuts. But they are out working all day (only in to get schedule sheets, make pit stops, etc), and the office is mine, so I can listen to what I want.

When I listen to NPR, I just get news reports and interviews with historians and so on.
What is it on NPR that your collegues find bothersome?

The local station plays classical music starting at 10am (central time), with news on the hour. No Talk of the Nation, alas. Anyway, the only classics my boss and his helper know are things like "Your Cheatin' Heart" or "Satisfaction".

| 4. i'm kind of worried about Franken on radio |
|
His delivery is very slow, which is why he doesn't get as much time on CNN or the network morning shows.. He can get away with it easier on radio, but it may require listener patience.
Janeane Garofalo won't have this problem, she's very quick to the point and witty in the process.

And I think the more important question is whether or not radio stations would carry it..

There is a rumor that a liberal investment group associated with AnShell Media will start radio broadcasts of Al Franken and Jeanine Garafalo in February 2004. Previously, it was supposed to be January 2004, and so who knows if it will ever happen.

There is no way any radio stations anywhere in range of me are going to play his show.
