U.S. seizes drugs on boats in Persian Gulf

(CNN) -- Coalition forces on Saturday seized what they think is heroin and methamphetimines on two small vessels in the Persian Gulf, U.S. Central Command said.

The seizure came five days after nearly $10 million in hashish was found on another vessel and 12 crew members were arrested. Three of those detained have "links" to the al Qaeda terrorist group and the drug cargo have "clear ties" to al Qaeda, the Pentagon said.

The USS Philippine Sea intercepted the two dhows believed to be operating together. One of ship's search teams boarded the first dhow and found approximately 150 pounds of methamphetamines.

He got his illegal drugs from his maid who got them in the parking lot of Denny's. When you are involved in illegal substance abuse you are the exact same thing as a heroin addict or hashish user. This I recently overheard from a Dittohead associate...He claims Rush's habit was caused by the stress of his position in American life. That he's had to withstand constant attacks on his life and has been socially and politically isolated for his views, thus taking a toll on his health, thus the need for large amounts of drugs.

Mind you, this response took this dittohead two months to come up with...when I first hit him with the quantity of drugs Rush was consuming and the type of drug Oxy-Contin is. I thought that would do the trick. Guess not.

Sorry, but over a million of America's young men and women in the Middle East are under a helluva lot of stress because of their "position in American life." They have to withstand constant attacks on their lives and are isolated from their families and friends by a few thousand miles. Somehow they don't need large amounts of drugs.

Rush is a total wuss with no spine and even less character. I know it will probably never happen, but damn! I'd love to see him doing his turn in the prison laundry for a few years. Good thing I'm not the one who arranges these things.

Gee, funny -- sounds like a little kid who doesn't have any friends because he's a bully complaining that beating up on his classmates makes him unpopular. Boo-hoo.

This is the guy who's suggested boycotting (commercially) celebrities who are liberal and say so, right? But when they boycott him socially, it's an excuse to illegally buy pharmaceuticals.

I'm sure if any given dead heroin-addicted rock musician was still around to be asked why he had a heroin problem, he'd say something similar -- isolation, the pressures of celebrity, an inability to trust the people around them, etc. And yet I'm sure Blowhard can see no parallels between his existence and theirs. He's a persecuted angel, they're all immoral junkies.

I do not see how this guy can live with the cognitive dissonance. What the hell is he whining about? He chose to espouse a political and moral philosophy that many sane people -- and even a few insane ones -- can't stomach. It's not society's fault these yahoos who get in front of a microphone with prescription drugs in one hand and 'Mein Kampf' in the other are too narcissistic to hang around comforting and providing support for each other.

And yet this logic fails to reach the idiots who listen to him. The only difference between him and a rock musician with a heroin monkey is that the drugs Blowhard took were legally manufactured. The difference ended when he used illegal means to obtain them. They were illegally obtained and abused, once they got in his sweaty little palm. He's every bit as much a junkie as all those junkies he holds in such contempt. And he got there the same way, for the same reasons, and equally illegally.
