| Poll question: Which job would you want most |
|
Edited on Sat Dec-27-03 06:51 PM by Hippo_Tron
I'm trying to understand the attraction of politicians going from one job to another other than to stay in power.
Edit: I had to change the poll upon knowledge that you could only vote once.

| 3. Nah. I'm strictly support staff, politically |

Maybe a campaign person, press secretary, or someone's brain (kinda like Karl Rove but female and not evil and hopefully advising someone smarter than *, so OK nothing like Karl Rove).

Apparently, all you need to do is show up for the State of the Union speech and maybe to break a tie in the Senate. He doesn't pay rent, collects a fat salary, and can travel anywhere he wants for free. And everybody's just fine with all this as long as he's in "a secure location." I'd trade places with Dick Cheney any time.

| 7. You don't even really have to show up for the State of the Union... |

They can say that there's a possible security threat, claim you're going to a secure location and plump the President Pro-Tem in your chair.

National Parks System Superintendent would be fun. I could get paid to visit all of the national parks.
Betcha I could get some sweet backcountry permits, too.
This is assuming I would be in an administration that actually supports the park system. Whoever holds that position now has a shit job. (Probably a former/current lumber lobbyist)

The Director of NSA is a three-star figurehead. The Deputy Director is the guy with the power in that place.
