| George Bush won re-election on sept. 11, 2001... |
|
he was given a get-out-of-election-year-problems-free card, and he'll be using it as much as possible. All the bad stuff that can't be laid on Clinton's doorstep will be delivered to the WTC. And if Osama is killed or captured before the election, we might as well fold up the tent and not even waste the money campaigning, -save it for 2008- we may need it(although we may want to save it in the form of euros).

|
The * administration has made it clear through words and actions that Osama is not the issue. I'm sure the bearded one is busy training new, strong, idealogical replacements in the event of his demise or capture. al-Qaeda is a hydra; cut off one head, two take its place.
And anyway, * was never elected. Can't be re-elected.

....if they can keep the lid on the secrets till after the election. And I don't think that's a given. The American people eventually catch on. And there is one huge voting block that is turning against Bush -- veterans and military.

Why did he just poll 51% to Dean's 46%? This after Turkey in Iraq and Saddam captured. Personally, I think a lot of people are just getting tired of the guy. Osama is a wildcard. I do hope he's caught before causing more damage.

caught before he (*) does more damage. as for 9/11 all that did was reserve a special space for * et al in hell. hammer that timeline out there until it can't be ignored and watch him stumble and fall on his face. those aren't from a conspiracy "theory" - those are documented hours and minutes that just don't jibe with their alibi. this should be so simple. hammer, hammer, hammer that timeline, aka timelie i guess.

there are only about several hundred or so to choose from...just find the one with the best numbers for your candidate and run with it...

|
can you imagine how Repukes would be attacking President Gore had 9-11 happened on his watch? Why can't Dem's point out the fact that Bush was ignoring terrorism... taking excessive time off in AUGUST, just two weeks before 9-11.

Tell me what new voters chimpy has brought into his fold. True, if the election were on 9/12/01, he'd be a shoo-in. Or if there just HAPPENS to be a crisis this fall it will help him also. But please name me a group that plans on voting for the chimp that didn't in '00. He shot his wad already. There's no where for him to go but down in a big way.

since they were a group that didn't exist in 2000, and they now makeup over 60% of the electorate.

He saved his own ass first. Some of us got that.
It doesn't matter a damn what George says. All WE have to say is LOOK AT WHAT HE DOES. And show it.
Also, since the capture of Osama won't make us one bit safer, in fact we'll probably get some really nasty attacks just to prove it, the win from that one won't take either.
Why would any Democrat cede the election now, just because the Republicans plan to lie and play really really rough?

War with Afghanistan was what any President would have done in the situation, but I firmly believe Gore would have finished the job instead of walking away to attack Iraq.

He thought he was being given a free pass and like his daddy (who had much better re-elect numbers around this time in 1992) he has screwed it up.
Honestly anybody with even basic political skills would be sending out invites to his victory ball and not criss crossing the country like a monkey on crack raising money. Other points: He's a horrible speaker and a very lazy campaigner - just like his daddy. Any of the democratic hopefulls - with the execption of Liberman - will be able to run his legs off. I mean this is man who gets cranky if he does not have a nap.
True the mainstream media has lined up to kiss his shoe but hey - if they think * is going to lose they will dump him like a bad habit. And even with the rah rah press he's only at 50%.
He's beatable. Hell i think he's very beatable. What cheeses me off is that I heard this stupid gibberish in 92 about his daddy and look what happened to him. he lost to a man most of us had never heard of a year before.
keep the faith.

So the Dems should just cut our losses and get out now, because that's "realism"?
The key is to MAKE your agenda the realism of today, and everything else fals into place. You just can't sit by and expect things to work out for themselves.
You know Chimpy has used 9/11 for political gain. You know that's stepping on the 3000 dead. Why are you accepting that as "real"?

As most of the Osama hit singles are, but that one especially wasn't even a GOOD forgery! All you see is a shadowed figure sitting there talking to some other anonymous Muslim, and the supposed "Osama" is obviously shorter and chubbier than the 6'5" Bin Laden. That tape sucked so bad I thought the Enquirer must have put it out.

and a country that's so fucking ignorant that 2/3's of the electorate believe that the 9-11 hijackers were Iraqi will most likely get another 4 years of the 'leadership' it deserves.

Freedom is just another word for nothing to lose. If Chimpy is guaranteed a second term, then we might just as well follow our hearts. Let's nominate Dean, or even Kucinich!! I get so damn tired of rejecting a candidate I really like in favor of one I think can win. As perverse it seems, being doomed to failure is kinda liberating.
Don't you get tired of settling for the lesser of 2 evils time after time after time?
