| I just recovered from Shark Week on The Discovery Channel, as me anything! |
|
Everytime I close my eyes I see sharks. I haven't bathed since a week ago Sunday. Cello tones send shivers up my spine.

so other than "add shark fin" nope.

| 10. Yeah the program about the Great White |
|
chomping down on the 19 year old freaked me out. I didn't know it was coming on and the tv was on. I heard screaming, you know it wasn't hollywood fake screaming so I went to the TV. OMG Sorry no questions, but man that freaked me out too.

| 13. I had to watch that one twice... |
|
not because I am morid or anything but because I wasn't sure how I felt about the program. I was more interested in why the shart tried to eat Eric Ridder as opposed to HOW the shark tried to eat Eric Ridder.
I felt really bad for the girl. If they hadn't tugged her out of the water she might not have lost her leg... But then, she might have been eaten too...
And where the hell was Nigel Marvin? He's always taunting dangerous animals and they were filming a segment for his show when Eric Ridder was chomped. I figured they would have had him make some contribution to the show. Then again, he probably crawled into a Kangaroo pouch to process the whole experience and couldn't be found.

I actually thought the edited footage was more disturbing as my brain filled in all the details cut from the segment. When they showed the unedited part at the end all I could do was watch and compare with what I "thought" I'd see.
Pretty good show overall. But I have to ask, WHY did the shark bite him? Ridder's whole theory is that if you don't look or act like a prey item even the least predictable sharks, Bull Sharks, will ignore you.
He never even touched the subject. The mechanics of the bite were interesting but I was more interested in the psychology.

I think his theory's more a hypothesis that got disproven. :-)
I've always understood that the bull shark is the true nightmare of the oceans. Most attacks in the coastal regions are by bull sharks.
