OK, I had a dream about DU last night.

So I had this dream...and you, and you, and YOU were in it!

I don't remember how it all hung together. I had donated, I guess, and gotten a couple things in the mail that the guys were offering as premiums. ONe of them was a gigantic hardcover book that was supposed to be some kind of "companion to DU" and the other was a short film by matcom (yes, matcom). The short film was entertaining, although it was like a home movie made with a super-8 camera and hadn't been completely edited yet and there were a lot of gaps where you just saw that "4..3..2..1" thing on the screen and heard the projector whirring. At the end, matcom's head was supposed to jump out at you and scare you, but he had this goofy grin that just made the whole thing funny, plus he looked totally nonthreatening.

The book was huge. There was an entry on me in it but it was only one line long and now I can't remember what it said. I remember thinkign, "Well, I'll look myself up in the index, maybe there are some other references," and flipping to the back and thinking, "No, they probably didn't do an index, those are really expensive and a huge pain in the ass to make up." There was an index after all, but it wasn't a regular index, and I couldn't find anything about me in it.

So there it is and as God is my witness I have no idea what any of it means. Except that maybe you should donate to DU so matcom can finish editing his movie and they can do a proper index to the 500-page Companion To DU.

2. OMG, me too!

I spent so much time on DU the last two days, that I dreamed about it, too!

A few old-timers had combed through every one of my posts and started a flame thread that pointed out all my contradictions, logical fallacies and spelling errors. I couldn't type fast enough to keep up with them. I got so upset, I kicked the cat.
