Best fresh water fishing tips Got any???

what is the best tips you have for bass,pan fish ,walleye etc.

Mine is I use 2 to 4 lb test and jigs on ultra light rod and slingshot them .Take jig head between forefinger and thumb.Careful
to avoid the hook .Release the bail.Pull back about 6 inches aim and let go.
Also always clean hooks/lures when done using them.

1. Lake Erie for Walleye.

Get yourself an Erie Dearie lure and go to town. You can also hook into a big muskelunge (or is it sturgeon) at the right times. And I mean BIG!

Light, turbidity, fish whim. Hell, pick a color and run with it. I'm sure someone could give you a good clue as to what will work best when. Me? I keep a few different colors in the box and trade them out as needed if they aren't working.

True story which happened to me. I guess their owner would throw sticks or a ball into the water and they'd fetch it. So, when I made my cast...

I managed to (barely) keep the lure ahead of the dog by running down the shore while reeling as fast as I could. But it was a near thing.

15. I learned not to take my border collie fishing.

For the exact same reasons you listed.That and the endless tangled line.I think the worst thing is when my cat spies that I caught a fish.She stalks me to all the local fishing holes.
I caught a blue gill one day.She pounced on it and got a hook in her paw.

13. The secret to a successful fishing trip:

Find a lake with a 5mph speed limit for watercraft etc.

Then find a secluded, quiet cove.

You will need:

Lounge chair
Ice chest
Pole
tackle box with minimal weights, hooks, line, stringer, & knife
worms
a couple of great books

Put a worm on the hook and cast it out. Prop the pole up on a couple of sticks. Set up the lounge chair in the shade, pop open a cold one, and curl up for a peaceful read.

Look at the pole every once in a while. If the end is bouncing up and down, pull in your fish, put it on the stringer, put a fresh worm on the hook, and toss it back out. If not, oh well. The book calls.

Should you have access to mountain streams with wild trout, no stocked fish, be sure to gut and cook the fish over a fire as you catch them. Just roast 'em on a stick and peel off the flesh with your fingers.

16. Fish are always an added bonus

to a fishing trip, but never really essential. ;-)

I say 5mph, but would prefer no motors at all. I like to avoid the backwash, noise, etc. generated. The fish never even know I'm there!
