Whatever you may think of the band as a whole, this is undeniably a great song. One of my favorite songs of the '90s - from what I understand it was a decent hit in this country around '94, but I wish it could've been bigger.
Lyrics
Maybe I don't really want to know How your garden grows I just want to fly Lately did you ever feel the pain In the morning rain As it soaks it to the bone
Maybe I just want to fly I want to live I don't want to die Maybe I just want to breath Maybe I just don't believe Maybe you're the same as me We see things they'll never see You and I are gonna live forever
Maybe I don't really want to know How your garden grows I just want to fly Lately did you ever feel the pain In the morning rain As it soaks it to the bone
Maybe I will never be All the things that I want to be But now is not the time to cry Now's the time to find out why I think you're the same as me We see things they'll never see You and I are gonna live forever We're gonna live forever Gonna live forever Live forever Forever

...I would have took more time to enjoy the nineties if I knew they would probably have been the best times in a long time.

| 3. Champagne Supernova would be my favourite... |

I've seen Oasis live and they were very disappointing. I also find a lot of their music boring and uninspired, albeit far better than the majority of turd floating in the British music charts.
However, they do occasionally pull out a masterpiece, and Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall are both in that category.
Have to say that Live Forever is a bit whiney and the lyrics aren't exactly Coleridge...
Sorry.

| 4. they had a reference to Cobain's suicide in the song... |
|
... and that did it for me. how could i not like that song! i was in college that time, a 19 year old punk addicted to grunge in a country cultures away from Seattle 1990. but it was a great song. Oasis lately performed a song called "Whatever", the chorus of which goes: "I'm free to do whatever I Whatever I want and I'll sing the blues If I want."
i thought that was pretty neat too.
