skeeters. I hate'em, but remember the 11th commandment:
Thou shalt never squish a bug.

And I just hate having "tree branches" slither out of the yard before I pick up the branches before I decide to mow the lawn.
I'm not a big fan of snakes to say the least....

that we get here every summer in parts of Vegas.
If one ever lands on me I'll go into cardiac arrest, I just know it.
When I was moving to a new place a month ago I saw one near my route from the car, where I was loading stuff, to the front door of my old apartment. It looked like half its guts were hanging out its backside so I assumed it was dead. As I was coming back out to the car with my last couple of boxes I noticed it was nowhere to be found. There was no wind that day and the neighbors' cats were all inside.

I hate spiders. HATE them. They're just so far beyond gross, I want to hurl everytime I see one, regardless of size. (Although, ask any spider-hater, they're all ENORMOUS!!) But anytime I mention this, it never fails that some smartass nature loving jerk bring up this argument:
"Spiders eat loads of other insects. If it weren't for spiders, the world would be overrun with them."
FINE.
I propose a moratorium on ANYTHING WITH MORE THAN 4 LEGS. Yes, that includes octopi and squid. I care not. Any creature with more than 4 legs is an abomination in the eyes of God. (Ok, I made that part up, but still, eh?) ;)

One of my friends has one of those fuckin' tarantula "things".
Everyone keeps wanting me to let it crawl on me and such...HA!
I know damn well if I ever had the courage to let the thing on me, it would go for my throat, tear half of it out and everybody would stand around saying "Gee, that's strange, it never did that before".

You simply cannot go out after dusk or you'll be devoured alive. And our city govt doesn't want to spray for them because they're saving the chemicals in case of a West Nile outbreak. Yeah right -- as if getting all your blood sucked out isn't a good enough reason.

I use non-lethal bug control: Pre-emptive cleanliness and a device that sends a signal through the wiring of my house that disturbs the bugs and causes them to leave. I rarely see a bug, but I do see spiders and hate them.
