Piece of free advice. Don't be in such a big hurry for it to happen that you rush it and don't have the first time experience you deserve. You will feel worse, not better, if you do this just for the sake of doing it. You have to take your time and find the right person. If you feel bad over a relationship that didn't happen, think how bad you'd feel over one that went this far and suddenly ended.
