| Does anyone know what is going on with Ebay?? |
|
Any regular Ebay users here?
A few days ago I went over there to look around and found that the descriptions of any item I selected to view were in some code -- squares, triangles etc. Maybe some Jave code or something?
So I went to the forums and found that people there are going bananas with this problem since about the middle of July. Can't read the descriptions. Ebay doesn't seem to be inclined to do anything about it.
Some people found a workaround -- check "ignore internet fonts", which works but makes all your other websites practically unreadable. Others suggested pasting the code into Word -- works but also a pain to have to paste every description so you can read it.
I have upgraded, downloaded, installed Jave plugins etc. Nothing works. I do believe this is a problem on Ebay's end.
Anyone know what's going on??

| 3. No, some of the people posting in the forums are sellers |
|
and they can't get the descriptions to work either.
I'm running Windows 98 and get gibberish. A friend of mine is running Win 95 and everything works for her. Some people with Win NT are complaining. Doesn't seem to matter what version of windows you're running.
I know what arabic fonts look like. these are all squares and triangles.
