| Matt Damon was born to be Bourne (My quickie review) |
|
The man is GOOD. Let's face it- Matt Damon has more natural athletic and martial arts talent than Keanu Reeves ever dreamed of (pun intended). Never having seen Matt's version of The Bourne Identity, I bought the DVD and watched it before going to The Bourne Supremacy today. The DVD blew me away- the fight scenes were incredible. The flow was natural, the moves and emotion REAL. Now that's the way a fight-to-the-death scene should look!
Today's movie was almost as good (I was disappointed there was only one major fisticuffs scene)- I now have a new favorite chase scene to take its place beside Bullitt, The French Connection, Ronin, and To Live And Die In L.A. I won't give it all away, but I can say there is now a REALISTIC car chase scene out there!
I can't talk much more about The Bourne Supremacy without giving out spoilers, so I'll leave it at this: Go See It. You won't regret it.
I look forward to the final part of the trilogy. I'm comforted in hoping it won't take as long to be released as the final Star Wars flick! (George Lucas, take a note...)

| 1. I loved the "Bourne Idenity", too. I'll be waiting for the |

DVD of "The Bourne Supremacy". I like that girl in there, too, Franka Potente..they're perfect in that movie together.

| 2. Matt Damon really works in this role |
|
I saw the Bourne Supremacy this weekend too, and I loved it. It was easily the best spy movie since...well, since the Bourne Identity. Damon is perfect in his role as a programmed killing machine who doesn't even have a clue why he does the terrible things he does, with such smooth expertise. He really makes you feel the shit that he goes through on his quest for survival and self-identity.
And yes, that chase scene in Moscow was the best EVER. All my life I've wondered why the hero in car chases never gets smashed up himself. That was the first chase scene I've ever seen where all bets were off. I can't even imagine how they filmed it.

| 3. Haven't seen "Bourne Supremacy" yet but agree he was great in the first. |

After his buddy Ben Affleck stunk up the place as Jack Ryan it was good to see Matt do so well as Jason Bourne. He was a little young for the role as written by Ludlum but he made up for that with his great performance.

| 4. Thanks. I Loved Bourne Identity |

One of the best caper films in a long time, and i too agree that Matt Damon has the goods.
I've been a giant fan since Rounders. One can easily forget they're watching Matt Damon and just get lost in the character. That's a sure sign of skills, to me. The Professor
