American, British Cruise Ships on Heightened Alert

The Office of Homeland Security today increased the threat level to orange for Atlantic-faring cruise ships, particularly those traveling between the United States and Britain.

Newly-reviewed documents from the 1915 archives of the United States' Office of Naval Intelligence and the War Department G-2 division indicate that an attack on luxury liners by German U-Boats may be imminent.

While Secretary Tom Ridge was careful to highlight the non-specific nature of the intelligence, other sources within the OHS believe that the cruise ship Lusitania may be specifically targetted.
