| 3. McClellan's spin....pathetic |

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Bush's misstatement "just shows even the most straightforward and plain-spoken people misspeak."
"But the American people know this president speaks with clarity and conviction, and the terrorists know by his actions he means it," McClellan said.

They sure do know he means it. The news from Iraq indicates they're "bringing 'em on" just like Dubya told them to.

| 4. This goddamn IDIOT vs. Malcolm X... |
|
...I couldn't sleep at 5 a.m. today and so I tuned in to WBAI (radio station here in NYC), which was broadcasting a Malcolm X speech from 1964. Without getting into the politics of it, I'll simply note that I listened in amazement to the entirety (about 30 minutes) of what sounded like a completely extemporaneous speech. Malcolm was absolutely spellbinding, passionate, forceful and never missed a fucking beat. Okay, maybe three times in the whole thing he paused, said, "Uh..." etc. But here's a guy who's winging it, being interrupted by applause about every 20 seconds (which has to be distracting), and he's coming off like fucking Cicero. Whereas Idiot Boy can't even read what's been written by others and printed out (in BIG letters, I'm sure), without making a complete fool of himself.
"Four more years of Hell" is right, Teresa.
